Skye Courses

The Black Cuillin on the Isle of Skye are home to the most challenging peaks in the UK, with such diverse topography to provide the perfect playground for the mountaineer and walker alike.

Skye Munros - 5 Days

if your objective is to complete the 12 Munros on Skye our guides will help you to succeed. Tackling the ridge in smaller sections of two or three Munros at a time allows us to miss out the most technical scrambling and provide the easiest routes to the summits, with the only section of graded rock climbing being a moderate route up the east ridge of the Inaccessible Pinnacle, the 'Inn Pinn'.

Skye Scrambles - 1 to 5 Days

If you are interested in seeking out classic scrambles on classic rock, with stunning views, then Skye is the perfect playground, with a lifetime of amazing routes to complete.

Popular objectives include; Pinnacle ridge on Sgurr Nan Gillean, a traverse of the four tops of Sgurr a Mhadaidh, Clach Glas or a round of Corie Lagan. For something more adventurous why not head into the rugged heart of the Cuillin with a trip to Lock Coruisk with Misty Isle Boat Trips, and then ascend the Dubhs ridge, the longest continuous route in the UK with 900 meters of great scrambling on immaculate Gabbro slabs.

With so many options we are truly spoilt for choice and can pick the perfect level of adventure for you.

Cuillin Ridge traverse - 2 Days

A traverse of the Cuillin ridge includes 11 Munros over a distance of 12 km with over 4000 meters of vertical ascent and descent involving some challenging scrambling, some short pitches of rock climbing and a number of abseils.

The experience of our qualified guides and their knowledge of the ridge gives us a high record of success on this chalenging alpine scale route.

We would aim to complete the ridge over two days with an overnight bivi high on the ridge.

A high level of fitness and confidence scrambling is essential.

Skye rock climbing - 2 to 5 Days

As well as classic scrambles, Skye is also home to some amazing rock climbing. Within the main Cuillin range the largest cliffs are on Sron Na Ciste in Corie Lagan, where it is possible to link a number of routes to give 400 meters of climbing at any grade, from diff to HVS, visiting the remarkable Cioch on the way.

Skye also has a number of fantastic sea cliff climbing venues that provide atmospheric climbing and a welcome rest from the walk into the mountains.

Over your time on Skye we would aim to visit a variety of venues to tailor the routes to your objectives. See our climbing page for more details.
